Half day Have a Go Session

£400.00

A half day sailing session is a great outing for all the family and is better when you have younger children.We run skippered sailing sessions to suit your needs. Whether it is a special birthday, a family day out or you just want a great way to see the Lake District from your own private yacht we can help. No previous experience is needed and we can take up to eight people on our cruising yachts.

Windermere is one of the most picturesque lakes in the National Park and is nearly eleven miles long with many varied landscapes to look at. Your skipper will tell you about the surrounding area and where you are.

Do I need to get involved?

Everyone is encouraged to get involved with sailing the yacht, but if you prefer to sit back and enjoy the view then your skipper will do everything – including putting the kettle on and making sure everyone is safe and warm.

    Description

    A half day skippered charter for four people is £400 and includes hot and cold beverages, picnic style lunch and refreshments during the sail.

    Six people costs £500 and eight people £600

    Enjoy the scenery, sit back and relax or be involved handling the ropes, steering and setting the sails

    The skippers know the lake and the yachts so you are in safe hands

     

     

    Inclusions

    Nibbles and cream cakes served during the afternoon or morning sessions

    Hot and cold beverages served all the time

    General Information

    1.00 p.m. Coffee and muffins with a safety briefing and yacht familiarisation

    1.30 p.m. Commence sailing. Haul the sails and steer the yacht – or just sit back and relax. Your choice, no pressure

    4.30 p.m. Return to home jetty to disembark

    This is an example itinerary. Your charter will be tailored to your timings. The wind picks up in the afternoon more than the morning but morning sessions are not a problem
